Larry D. Frye, 57, of Cowden passed away at 3:41 p.m. Monday, Jan. 28, 2008, at Shelby Memorial Hospital, Shelbyville.

Graveside services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Thursday in Martin Cemetery, near Cowden, with the Rev. Ron George officiating. Military rites will be provided by Shelby County Honor Guard. Visitation will be from noon until 2 p.m. Thursday at Lockart-Green Funeral Home in Shelbyville.

Bobby L. Smith, 74, of rural Effingham, formerly of Johnson County, died at 11:45 a.m. Monday, Jan. 28, 2008, at home.

The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Bailey Funeral Home, Vienna, with the Rev. David Vaughn and the Rev. Barbara Vaughn officiating. Burial will be in Gilead Cemetery, rural Simpson, with military graveside rites. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Leroy V. Zacha, 83, of Shumway passed away at 7:30 p.m. Monday, Jan. 28, 2008, at St. Anthony’s Memorial Hospital, Effingham.

Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. Mary Catholic Church, Shumway, with Monsignor Leo Enlow officiating. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the church and for one hour prior to the service Friday at the church. A parish prayer service will be held at 8 p.m. Thursday. Burial will be in St. Mary Catholic Church Cemetery, Shumway. Military rites will be presented by VFW Post 1769 of Effingham. Memorials can be made to American Diabetes Association, American Lung Association, Disabled American Veterans or donor’s choice. The family is being assisted by Lockart-Green Funeral Home in Beecher City.

Helen I. Roberts, 83, of Kenney died at 9:25 a.m. Monday, Jan. 28, 2008, at Decatur Memorial Hospital, Decatur.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Calvert Funeral Home, 201 S. Center St., Clinton, with J. Kent Hickerson officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Valley Cemetery, Kenney. Visitation will be one hour prior to the funeral at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Foundation.
