James Rettig

Beecher City

James B. Rettig, 47, of Beecher City, truck driver for Hill Brothers Trucking of Omaha, Neb., and U.S. Army veteran, died at 9:15 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 20, 2008, at home.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Lockart-Green Funeral Home, Beecher City, with the Rev. Dennis Warner officiating. Burial will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Interment will be at a later date in Arkansas.

Henrietta Beccue

Altamont

Henrietta P. Beccue, 78, of Altamont died peacefully with her family near Sunday, Jan. 20, 2008, at 1:12 p.m. at St. Anthony’s Memorial Hospital, Effingham. Funeral services will be Friday at 11 a.m. at St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church, ELCA, Altamont, with the Rev. Don P. Klepzig officiating. Visitation will be Thursday at the church from 4 to 8 p.m. and Friday morning for one hour before the funeral service. Burial rites will be conducted in St. Paul ELCA Lutheran Cemetery following the funeral service. Funeral arrangements are through Kull Funeral Chapel, Altamont. Memorials can be made to Grace Matters radio ministries in care of St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church, Altamont; Lutheran Care Center, Altamont; or the donor’s choice.
