Daily News accepting letters to Santa now through Dec. 7

EFFINGHAM —  Hey kids! It's time to get your letter to Santa written for publication in the Effingham Daily News!

This year, the Daily News asks that children, teachers and parents who submit these letters send them by e-mail to Santa@effinghamdailynews.com. The EDN will accept letters (not essays) from fourth-graders or younger.

Classroom entries should include a teacher's name, grade and name of the school in addition to the writer's name. Individual entries should include the writer's name, a parent or guardian's name and a telephone number.

Because of the section's popularity and the number of letters we receive, the EDN cannot guarantee publication. We will include as many letters as possible.

Please submit your letters soon! The EDN will accept letters through 5 p.m. Friday, Dec. 7.

For questions, please call EDN Editor Matt Saxton at 217-347-7151, ext. 129, or email him at matt.saxton@effinghamdailynews.com.
