Area towns have set aside specific times for community children to participate in trick or treat. Anyone who welcomes trick or treaters, should leave on their porch light during the times indicated.

Altamont — 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 31.
Beecher City — 6 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 31.
Brownstown — 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 30.
Cowden — 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 31.
Dieterich — 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 28.
Edgewood — 6 to 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 27.
Effingham — 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 31.
Greenup — 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 31.
Herrick — 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 30.
Louisville — 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 31.
Mason — 6 to 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 27.

Effingham Halloween parade — 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 28.
Effingham Downtown Safe Trick or Treating — Wednesday, Oct. 31, 6 to 8 p.m. 16 downtown businesses will stay open until 8 p.m. to welcome trick-or-treaters.
Toledo — 6 to 8 p.m. Trunk or Treat around the square including food and toilet papering around the square.
