EFFINGHAM —
Kal Keitel, people services director for St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital, suddenly resigned Wednesday to pursue other career opportunities.
Keitel has been employed with St. Anthony's 25 years.
Joe Bretz, administrative director of people services for St. John's Hospital in Springfield, will serve as interim director as St. Anthony's begins a search for candidates. St. John's is a sister hospital to St. Anthony's with the Hospital Sister Health System.
Bretz has been with St. John's for nearly 37 years.
