ST. ELMO —
Terry K. Elder, 61, of St. Elmo, passed away 2:30 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 24, 2013, at Christian Northeast Hospital, St. Louis.
Funeral services, officiated by Pastor Jim Dann, will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Liberty Christian Church, Brownstown, with burial in Liberty Cemetery, Brownstown. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday and one hour prior to service Friday, all at the church. Memorials are requested to the family. C & A Pagel Funeral Home, St. Elmo is handling arrangements.
Terry was born on Dec. 21, 1951, in Dixon, the daughter of Dillard and Helen (McKay) Oiler. She married Robert J. Elder on Oct. 10, 1968, in Kahoka, Mo., and he preceded her on Nov. 29, 2008. She had worked as a baker and enjoyed bingo, sewing, baking, and arts and crafts.
Surviving are her daughters, Krista (fiance, Steve Austin) of St. Elmo and Ginger (husband, Les) Foster of Bryan, Texas; son, Robert W. (wife, Vicki) Elder of St. Elmo; grandchildren, Zakk Elder, Jozsef Morrison, Kloe Foster and Helen Elder; mother-in-law, Ethel Elder of Lawrenceville; and brother, Jerry Oiler.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Donnie Oiler.
