EFFINGHAM —
Deloris May Shaw, 79, of Effingham, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 15, 2013, at St. John's Hospital, Springfield.
Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Brummerstedt Funeral Home, Stewardson. Burial will be in Stewardson Cemetery, Stewardson. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today, Jan. 18, at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the donor's choice.
Deloris was born Dec. 3, 1933, in Shelby County, the daughter of Aubrey and Wilma Roley Grove. Deloris was employed for several years at CEFS Outreach and at the A & W Root Beer restaurant, both in Effingham. She attended New Hope Church and South Side Baptist Church, both in Effingham.
Surviving are her sons, Raymond Shaw of Beecher City, and Marvin Shaw of Effingham; grandchildren, Christopher Dale Shaw, Jesse Shaw, Meranda Shaw and Ryan Shaw; one great-granddaughter; sister, Genevieve Navis of Mode; brothers, Junior (Cheryl) Grove of Blue Mound, and Bill Grove of Mattoon; and special friend of the family, Kelli Connours.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sons, Leon Shaw and Dale Shaw; brothers, Lester Grove and Lionel Grove; and one sister, Ruth Hoyer.
