Reba E. Greear, 92, of Chenoa, formerly of Champaign, passed away at 6:25 a.m. Friday, Jan. 11, 2013, at Meadows Mennonite Retirement Community, Chenoa.
Following cremation, a memorial service will be at 11:30 a.m. Saturday at Demaree United Methodist Church with the Rev. Mark Doane officiating. Inurnment will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park. She was born Sept. 10, 1920, in Centralia, the daughter of Judge Edward and Ellen Marie (Ainscough) Bryant. She married Darrell Edwin Greear on Sept. 12, 1941, and he preceded her in death in 1958. Reba graduated from Centralia High School and was a real estate broker in Champaign, retiring in 1995. Reba was a lifetime member of the Board of Realtors, a former member of Demaree United Methodist Church and enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Reba is survived by two sons, Gene Greear of Cincinnati and Dennis Greear (wife, Janet) of Forrest; two daughters, Sally Marlar of Paxton and Peggy Taplin (husband, Calvin) of Pontiac; 10 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and four stepgrandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers and one sister.
