LOUISVILLE —
Mary E. Bible, 92, of Louisville, passed away at 3:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 29, 2012, at Lakeland Rehabilitation & Health Care Center, Effingham.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Neal Funeral Home, Louisville, with the Rev. Howard Bell officiating. Interment will be in Floral Garden of Memories, Flora. Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m. Thursday. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or Louisville United Methodist Church and will be received at the funeral home. Mary was born June 12, 1920, in Louisville, Ky., the daughter of John and Ella Mae Young. She was united in marriage with Herbert W. Bible on July 6, 1938, in St. Louis, and to this union one son and three daughters were born. Herbert preceded her in death on June 27, 2004. Mary was employed for 27 years by Burkes Food Market, Louisville, and was a member of Louisville United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her son, Jerry Bible (wife, Carolyn) of Louisville; daughters, Jean Walker (husband, Bill) of Strasburg, Vickie McGee (husband, Robert) of Effingham and Sharon Nelson (husband, Larry) of Olney; nine grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; seven great-stepgrandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren; and five great-great-stepgrandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Ella Mae Young; and husband, Herbert Bible.
