NEWTON —
Roberta Lynn “Bert” (Wilson) Boldrey, 58, of Newton died at 8:40 a.m. Friday, Dec. 7, 2012, at her home surrounded by her family after a very courageous battle with cancer.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at Blake-Buchanan Funeral Home, Newton, with the Rev. Michael Seidenstricker officiating. Burial will be in Mound Cemetery near Willow Hill. Visitation will be held one hour before the service. Online condolences may be left at www.blakefh.com.
Bert was born June 9, 1954, in Ellsworth, Wis. On June 10, 1972, just one day after her 18th birthday, she married the love of her life and best friend, Dennis Boldrey, in Round Lake. After being displaced from her job, Roberta went back to school and graduated with three business degrees from Lincoln Trail College in 1945.
Bert is survived by her husband of 40 years, Dennis Boldrey, two sons, Brian (Brenda) Boldrey and Anthony (Melissa) Boldrey; grandchildren, Nikkole, Tommy, Tristen and Madelynne; five stepgrandchildren, Jereth, Angelica, Lisa, Audrey and Garett; two sisters, Beccy and Robin; three brothers, Brent, Kent and Clint; mother-in-law, Clella Gowin; brothers-in-law, Arthur Boldrey and Robbie Gowin; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.
Bert was preceded in death by her father, Bill Wilson; mother, Beverly Wilson; and father-in-law, Robert Gowin.
Bert was a very warm, loving and caring person who touched the hearts of everyone that knew her. She will be sadly missed by all.
