EDGEWOOD —
Thelma Catherine Deain, 88, of Edgewood, died at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 22, 2012, at St. Anthony’s Memorial Hospital, Effingham.
Graveside services will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday at Parkersburg Cemetery, Parkersburg. Visitation will be from 10:30 to noon Monday at Neal Funeral Home, Louisville. Memorials may be made to the American Red Cross.
Mrs. Deain was born April 12, 1924, in Louisville, the daughter of Fred and Wilma R. (Clark) Wiley. She married Everett Deain on Jan. 15, 1947, at Wabash Baptist Church, Louisville. He died in 1970.
She was formerly employed on the assembly line at AMF, Olney.
Surviving are her sons, John Dale Deain of Olney and Brent (Terri) Deain of Noble; daughters, Janet (Ron) Jones of Edgewood, Judy Robards of Clay City and Brenda Deain of Green River, Wyo.; brothers, James Wiley of Texas, Perry (Clara) Wiley of Louisville and Schuyler Wiley of Louisville; 19 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; sons, Roger Deain and Phillip Deain; brother, Fred Wiley Jr.; sister, Barbara Stanford; grandchild, Celena Deain; and special friend of 20 years, Carl E. Wyatt, who was a resident of Parkersburg and who passed away in 1993.
