BEECHER CITY —
Vera Wills, 87, of Beecher City, passed away at 9:10 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 10, 2012, at Lutheran Care Center, Altamont.
A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday in Beecher City Cemetery, Beecher City, with the Rev. Don Miller officiating. Memorials may be made to the activity fund of Lutheran Care Center or the American Cancer Society. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.lockartgreenfuneralhome.com. Vera was born Sept. 4, 1925, in Loudon Township, Fayette County, the daughter of Anson G. and Letha A. Buzzard Wright. She married Robert E. Wills on June 12, 1943, in Grenada, Miss.
She enjoyed working on the family farm and spending time with her beloved grandchildren. Vera was a loyal member of the Loudonaires Band that performed at many area nursing homes and other occasions.
She is survived by her loving family, husband, Robert; son, Michael Wills (wife, Leila) of Beecher City and their children, Lantz Wills (wife, Alysia), Michael B. Wills (wife, Natane) and Nathan Wills, all of Beecher City; daughter, Donna Wills Laue of Dawson, Ga., and her children, Christopher E. Laue (wife, Vickie) of Port St. Joe, Fla., and Carrie Laue Hoffman (husband, Terry) of Leesburg, Ga.; great-grandchildren, Christopher Logue of St. Elmo, Alyvia Wills and Abigail Wills, both of Beecher City, Terrell Hoffman, Branden Hoffman and Anna Hoffman, all of Leesburg, Ga., and Joseph Laue, Taylor Laue and Evelyn Laue, all of Port St. Joe, Fla.; great-great-granddaughter, Emily Hoffman of Leesburg, Ga.; sister, Phyllis Wright Petty of Beecher City; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Vera was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Loren Wright; twin sister, Veda Kalin; sisters, Dalene Frailey and Laura Wright in infancy; and son-in-law, James Laue.
