EFFINGHAM —
Edward P. Adams, 61, of Effingham, passed away at 6:52 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 4, 2012, at St. Anthony’s Memorial Hospital, Effingham.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Effingham. Burial will be in St. Anthony Cemetery, Effingham. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday with a 6:30 p.m. family rosary at Johnson Funeral Home, Effingham. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Ed’s children’s educational fund in care of Stanley Adams. Online condolences may be expressed at www.johnsonandsonsfh.com.
Edward was born Sept. 3, 1951, in Effingham, the son of Harry S. and Joan L. (Kreke) Adams.
Ed was a member of St. Clare Catholic Church in Altamont. He worked on the docks at Yellow Freight in Effingham. He was a grain farmer and also raised hogs. Ed loved spending time with his children and gardening.
Ed is survived by his children, David Adams and Abigail Adams both of Effingham; siblings, Mary (Ed) Hoopingarner of Watson, Nancy Stuckey of Fairfield, Stanley “Jake”
(Becky) Adams of Effingham, JoAnn (Charles) Haarmann of Mason, John (Kathy) Adams of Altamont, Peggy (Doug) Haarmann of Effingham, Katie (Allan) Duncan of Effingham, Sharon (Mike) Poynter of Effingham, and Paul Adams of Altamont; special aunt, Pat Kreke of Effingham; several nieces and nephews; and the mother of his children, Analiza Adams of Effingham.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and infant sister, Angela.
