EFFINGHAM —
Carolyn Frederick, 65, of Effingham, formerly of Shelbyville, died at 6:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 19, 2012, in her residence.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Howe and Yockey Funeral Home, Shelbyville. Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery, Shelbyville. Visitation from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorials may be given to the American Cancer Society.
Carolyn was born Jan. 24, 1947, in Shelbyville, the daughter of Donald D. and Betty P. Evans Houston Sr. She graduated from Cowden High School in the class of 1965. She was retired from Petro Stopping Center, Effingham, where she worked in the deli. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Effingham.
She is survived by her daughter, Michelle Frederick of Effingham; brother, Donald D. Houston Jr. of Shelbyville; granddaughter, Katelyn Frederick of Effingham; and uncle, Junior Evans (wife, Mabel) of Shelbyville.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
