Thomas Patrick "Tom" Fitzwilliam, 49, of Mason, died at 10:35 a.m. Friday, March 1, 2013, at Terre Haute Regional Hospital, Terre Haute, Ind.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Gieseking Funeral Home, Altamont, with the Rev. Dr. Lowell Donnelley officiating. Burial will follow in Union Cemetery, Altamont. Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the donor's choice. Online condolences may be expressed at www.giesekingfh.com.
Tom was born Saturday, Sept. 28, 1963, in Vandalia, to Thomas and Lauda (Berg) Fitzwilliam. He married Joan Boone on April 21, 1984, at Mason Christian Church. He was a member of Operating Engineers Local 841, Terre Haute, Ind., owned his own construction business and was the West Township Road commissioner.
He is survived by his wife, Joan, and son, Ethan Fitzwilliam, both of Mason; and father, Tom Fitzwilliam of St. Elmo.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents and his mother, Lauda Fitzwilliam.
