EFFINGHAM —
Larry N. Fehrenbacher, 70, of Effingham, passed away at 7:35 a.m. Monday, Feb. 25, 2013, at St. Anthony’s Memorial Hospital, Effingham.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Holy Cross Catholic Church, Wendelin. Burial with military rites will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at Johnson Funeral Home, Effingham. Memorials may be made to Catholic Charities. Online condolences may be left at www.johnsonandsonsfh.com.
Larry was born on Nov. 25, 1942, in Wendelin, the son of Lorne B. and Mary V. (Klingler) Fehrenbacher. Larry was a veteran of the United States Army. He was a former loan officer at the First National Bank in Effingham, and upon retirement enjoyed assisting at Johnson Funeral Home in Effingham and Burkland’s Florist & Greenhouse in Effingham. He was a past Knights of Columbus Fourth Degree Grand Knight in Effingham.
Larry is survived by his daughters, Julie (Michael) Hill of Olney and Gina (Kris) Kocher of Newton; grandchildren, Payton, Sarah, Dawson, Lauren and Kaleb; brothers, Dale Fehrenbacher of Rocky Mount, Mo., and Max Fehrenbacher of Blaine, Minn.; sisters, Frieda (Jim) Charters of Effingham, Kathleen Fehrenbacher of Effingham and Rita Massman of Rotterdam, N.Y.; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Madeline Kaufman.
