TAYLORVILLE —
Marsha Faye (Brasel) DeWilde, 55, of Taylorville, died at 9:10 p.m. Monday, Oct. 8, 2012, at Barnes Jewish Hospital, St. Louis.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Sutton Memorial Home, Taylorville, with the Rev. Becky Lembke officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery, Taylorville. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Donate Life America, 701 E. Byrd St., 16th Floor, Richmond, VA 23219. She was born June 23, 1957, in Centralia, the daughter of Harry and Alice (Frimel) Brasel. She married Jim DeWilde on Feb. 14, 1981, in Effingham. She was an art teacher at Taylorville Junior High School. She was a member of First United Methodist of Taylorville, National Education Association and Illinois Art Educators Association. Mrs. DeWilde was a graduate of Mckendree College. She taught school in Morrisonville, Mount Auburn and Taylorville.
Survivors include husband, Jim; parents, Harry and Alice (Frimel) Brasel of Effingham; son, Jordan DeWilde of Byron; daughter, Caitlin (Karl) DeWilde Beck of Webster Groves, Mo.; brother, Jeff Brasel of Edwardsville; and nieces, nephews and several cousins.
