SHELBYVILLE —
Warren M. “Bush” Nohren, 87, of Shelbyville, passed away at 3:30 a.m. Thursday Feb. 7, 2013, in his home at the Villas of Holly Brook, Shelbyville.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Lockart-Green Funeral Home, Shelbyville. Burial will be in Mound Cemetery, Cowden, with military rites by the Shelby County Honor Guard. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until service time Saturday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the First Christian Church, Cowden. Bush was born June 4, 1925, in Lakewood Township, Shelby County, on Williamsburg Hill. He married Lenora Lou Jackson on Feb. 18, 1950, in Taylorville. Bush served his country in the United States Marine Corps and saw duty in the South Pacific and in Japan. He was a lifelong, dedicated farmer who thoroughly loved caring for his land.
Surviving are his wife, Lenora; children, Judy (Mike) Williams of Cowden, Danny Nohren of Lakewood, Janet (Steve) Dunas of Petersburg, Kathy (Wes) Weekly of Tower Hill and Debra (Mike) Benslay of Neoga; 12 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Melba Weaver of Assumption, Patsy Manley of Columbus, Miss., Carolyn (Jim) Eply of Pana and Sandra (Bob) Bridgeman of Findlay; brothers, Ward (Nita) Nohren of Lakewood and Theodore “Tuck” (Evelyn) Nohren of Pana.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Merle Nohren, Montelle “Nip” Nohren, Ed Nohren, Wilbur Nohren and Bob Nohren; and sisters, Florence Monroe, Goldie Wills, Wandalee Forner and one sister in infancy.
