HILLSBORO —
Reynolds G. Voyles, 86, of Hillsboro, died at 4:09 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 23, 2012, at St. Anthony’s Memorial Hospital, Effingham.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Bass Patton Dean Funeral Home, Hillsboro, with the Rev. Rick Britton officiating. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery, Hillsboro. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Online condolences may be left at www.basspattondeanfh.com. Memorials may be made to Montgomery County Cancer Association.
He was born Nov. 24, 1926, at Hillsboro, the son of Reynolds R. and Lillian (Donaldson) Voyles. He was a store manager of McKay Auto Parts in Hillsboro. He was a 1944 Hillsboro High School graduate. He was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Hillsboro, and he loved to golf and bowl. Mr. Voyles was a Army veteran serving in Japan during World War II. He married Rosemary Bondurant at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Hillsboro, on Sept. 6, 1947. She survives.
Other survivors include children, Chris Conway (companion Bill Hammon) of Joliet and Brad (wife Maura) Voyles of Effingham; three grandchildren, Chad Conway of Joliet, Jacob Voyles of Alton, and Cameron Voyles of Effingham; one great-grandchild, Braeden Conway; brothers and sisters, Jack Voyles of New London, Iowa, Jim Voyles of Portland, Ore., Betty Brown of Hillsboro, Bill Voyles of Butler, and David Voyles of Alton.
He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Sue Ellen Voyles; one brother; and one grandson, Carson Voyles.
