JACKSON, Miss. —
Charlene Moulton Witmayer, 86, of Jackson, Miss., passed away in the early morning hours of Thursday, Dec. 20, 2012, at the Clinton Health Care Center, Clinton, Miss. Interment will be held in Oak Ridge Cemetery, Effingham, with private family services. Johnson Funeral Home, Effingham, is assisting with local arrangements.
Charlene was born in 1926 to the late C. E. Moulton and Orthal Ballinger Moulton. She was a longtime resident of Jackson and a member of Epworth United Methodist Church and also a former member of Christ United Methodist Church. She was retired from the Mississippi State Employment Security Commission and also from McRaes Department Store. Charlene enjoyed traveling with her husband, William, as long as their health allowed.
She is survived by her nieces and nephews, whom she loved as her own children.
She was preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Ruth Burkland, Doris Gallagher, Don Moulton and Warren Moulton; and her loving husband of over 40 years, William F. Witmayer.
