EFFINGHAM —
Agnes H. Haarmann, 81, of Effingham, passed away at 6:15 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 3, 2012, at Effingham Rehabilitation & Health Care Center, Effingham.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, Effingham, with burial in St. Anthony Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at Bauer Funeral Home in Effingham. Memorials may be made to the donor’s choice. Online condolences may be left at www.bauerfh.com.
Agnes was born Jan. 31, 1931, in Cumberland County, the daughter of Leo and Emma (Koelsch) Vahling. She married Wilbert J. Haarmann on Oct. 11, 1952, and he preceded her in death in 2008.
Agnes was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Effingham, Catholic Daughters and America, Council of Catholic Women, the Third Order of St. Francis and the St. Anthony’s Memorial Hospital Auxiliary.
Agnes is survived by one son, Donald; one brother, Louis (Carol) Vahling of Sigel; 15 nieces and nephews; and many great-nieces and nephews.
Agnes was preceded in death by her parents; and husband, Wilbert.
