Rita Marie Carr, born September 23, 1953, baptized into the hope of Christ’s resurrection, Saturday, February 2, 2013. Graduate of Collinsville High School 1971 and SIU Edwardsville. Lived in Marin County and Los Angeles, CA. The former Miss Collinsville was a member of Screen Actors Guild (SAG), AFTRA. She modeled and performed in numerous movies and commercials. She was a fitness entrepreneur owning and operating multiple Richard Simmons Anatomy Asylum clubs. Rita volunteered with the American Red Cross and Bay Area Animal Rescue.
Survived by dearest mother, Rita Carr of Swansea, (formerly of Collinsville); brothers, Joseph C. Carr Jr. of St. Louis, Michael and Nancy Carr of Carbondale; sisters, Terry and Mary (Carr) Harp of Swansea, and Jeanne Carr of Burbank, Calif.; nieces and nephews, Timothy Carr, Kathryn Carr, Christine Carr, Jordan Harp, Carlin Harp, Michael Harp, Addison Neville and Eden Neville; dearest aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Preceded in death by father, Joseph C. Carr; and sister-in-law, Marcia K. Carr; and sister, Kathleen Ann Carr.
