OREGON —
Zelma M. Ferguson, 93, of Oregon, formerly of Centralia, passed away at 9:40 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 16, 2013, at Oregon Healthcare Center.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Pagel Funeral Home, Edgewood. Burial will be in Keen's Chapel Cemetery, rural Laclede. Visitation will be one hour prior to service time. Memorials are requested to the donor's choice.
Zelma was born on July 16, 1919, in Farina, the daughter of Henry and Myrna (Murphy) Reynolds. She lived in the Chicago area from 1944 until 1979. She married Carl Thomas Ferguson on June 27, 1987. She was a homemaker and member of the First Church of God, VFW Auxiliary, AARP Chapter, Marion County Home Extension and Women of the Moose Chapter, all of Centralia. She enjoyed quilting and loved to travel.
Surviving are her husband, Carl of Mattoon; daughter, Myrna Hart of Oregon; brother, Henry H. Reynolds (Mary) of Centralia; sisters, LaVona Jones and Mary Lou Glover, both of Effingham; sister-in-law, Louise Reynolds of Neoga; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; three stepgreat-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Darwin Gene Case; grandson, Gary Case; son-in-law, Philip Hart; and two brothers, Louis Reynolds and Laverne Reynolds.
