EFFINGHAM —
Sharon Kay Duckwitz, 69, of Effingham, passed away Saturday, Jan. 12, 2013, at Brookstone Estates, Effingham.
A Celebration of Life service for Sharon will be at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Hall Funeral Chapel, Effingham, with the Rev. Jason E. Rensner officiating. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until service time Wednesday. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the donor's choice. Online condolences may be left at www.hallfuneralchapel.com.
Sharon was born Feb. 5, 1943, in Salem, the daughter of Edward and Grace Fitzwilliam. Sharon was a homemaker, a member of Faith Lutheran Church, Shumway, and a lifetime member of the Ladies Auxiliary in Altamont.
Survivors include four children, Jayne (Jerry) Edwards of Altamont, Michael Duckwitz of Altamont, Todd (Tracy) Duckwitz of Hickory, N.C., and Vicki (Matthew) Blacker of Effingham; 11 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two sisters, Susan (Alan) Hampson of Dalgren and Barbara (David) Forrest of Mount Vernon; brother, Thomas Fitzwilliam Sr. of Altamont; and special friends, Cheryl Nuxoll and Carol Dickenson, both of Effingham.
She was preceded in death by her parents and several brothers and sisters.
