EFFINGHAM —
Harold E. Davis, 84, of Effingham, formerly of Farina, entered eternal rest at 3:57 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 8, 2013, at St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Sunday at Pagel Funeral Home, Edgewood. Burial will be in Edgewood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home and one hour prior to service times. Memorials may be made to the Farina Ambulance service.
Harold was born on April 10, 1928, in Decatur, the son of Jesse and Daisy (Murry) Davis. His grandparents, Adam and Bertha Murry, raised him. He married Helen L. Cornwell on Dec. 24, 1952, at Louisville, and she preceded him on May 22, 2007. He was a retired oilfield driller.
Surviving are his sons, Randy (Sherrie Dee) Davis of Farina and Dennis Davis of Effingham; daughters, Rhonda (Darrell) Stock of Huntersville, N.C., and Rita Boggs of Farina; nine grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents; son, Wayne; and sisters, Ellen Beccue and Marion Kern.
