FARINA —
Owen Crain Williams, 65, of Farina, died Monday, Feb. 18, 2013, at Barnes Jewish Hospital, St. Louis.
Graveside funeral services will be at 2:30 p.m. Saturday in Iola Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m. Saturday at Rankin Funeral Home, Salem. Memorials may be made to Illinois Safe School Alliance, Farina Volunteer Ambulance Service or to the donor’s choice and will be accepted by the funeral home. Born Dec. 12, 1947, in Carbondale, he was the son of Owen V. and Myra (Crain) Williams, who preceded him in death. A farmer, he loved raising strawberries. He also enjoyed woodworking as a pastime. He married Helen Lacy, June 2, 1973, in Effingham, and she survives in Farina.
Also surviving is Charitianne Williams-Sasaki, his daughter, and husband, Kousuke, of Evanston, Autumn Maegan Williams, his daughter of Farina; and Martha Gayel Smith, his sister, and husband, Donald, of Weaver, Ala.
