EFFINGHAM —
Audrey V. Burke, 82, of Effingham, passed away at 8:39 a.m. Friday, Nov. 30, 2012, at St. Anthony’s Memorial Hospital in Effingham.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Johnson Funeral Home in Effingham, with the Rev. Bob Ward officiating. Burial will be in Oak Ridge Cemetery in Effingham. Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Monday before the services at the funeral home.

Audrey was born Jan. 13, 1930, in Norfolk, Va., the daughter of Henry and Gladys (Brown) Lee. She married Kenneth R. Burke on Dec. 27, 1946, in Norfolk, Va., and he survives.
Audrey attended Calvary Baptist Church in Effingham and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Norfolk, Va. She had worked for 10 years at the Amurol Production Company in Naperville. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
Audrey is survived by her husband, Kenneth of Effingham; children, Jewelle A. Burke of Effingham, Barry D. (Bonnie) Burke of Peru, Jennifer F. (Richard) Pepperdine of Effingham, Jeffery Burke of Sioux Falls, S.D., Brenda Sue McCord of Effingham and George Dewey Burke of Effingham; 23 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Robert E. Lee of West Virginia.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sons, Kenneth Burke Jr. and Randy D. Burke; great-grandson, Anthony Ray Burke; and two brothers.
