Rita Anne Logan (Yager), age 65, of Ste. Marie, passed away at 11:05 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 21, 2012, at St. Anthony’s Memorial Hospital, Effingham.
Private family services will be held. Arrangements are under the care of the Blake-Buchanan Funeral Home in Newton. Online condolences may be left at www.blakefh.com.

Rita Ann Logan was born Dec. 17, 1946, in Chicago, to Walter and Martha Ruth (Picquet) Logan. She married Mike Yager, son of Raymond and Gertrude Yager on May 31, 1970, at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church in Newton. Rita was a graduate of Eastern Illinois University and taught school at Teutopolis and Effingham, while co-founding their dream company Mid-America Designs. After being diagnosed with M.S., she was divorced and moved to Sainte Marie, the town her ancestors founded. There she led a quiet, private life and waged a courageous battle against M.S. She continued to take pride in Mike and Mid-America’s growth, years after she was no longer affiliated with the business she had developed and given her support, heart and soul.
Rita is survived by her brother, James (wife Eiko) Logan of Newton; sister, Patricia (husband Tony) Faller of Oblong; three nieces and four nephews; loyal caregivers, Diane Conover, Marsha Patterson, Sharon Reynolds and Angie Myers; and many loyal friends.
Rita was preceded in death by her parents.
