TOLEDO —
Hulin K. Talley, 83, of Toledo, passed away at 10:10 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 16, 2013, at his residence.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Toledo Christian Church. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Barkley Funeral Chapel, Toledo. Burial with full military rites will be in Toledo Cemetery. Memorials can be made to either Lincolnland Hospice or Toledo Christian Church. Hulin was born on Jan. 15, 1930, Salem, to Frank and Lurel (Brown) Talley. He married Marilyn Yvonne Brubaker on Dec. 15, 1951, in Mt. Vernon. Hulin served his country in the Army during the Korean War where he received the Bronze Star medal. Hulin worked in the LP gas industry for over 40 years. He was a past Toledo volunteer fireman; he was a life member and past commander of the Toledo American Legion, life member of the Greenup VFW, and member of the 45th Infantry Division Association. He also was an avid St. Louis Cardinal Fan.
Surviving is his loving wife of 61 years; children, Marty (Kathy) Talley of Lawton, Okla., Cindy (Dan) Ozier of St. Joseph, Mark (Brenda) Talley of Toledo, Kenneth Talley of Springfield, Yvonne (Tom) Hand of Effingham and James (Amy) Talley of Greenup; 21 grandchildren, Cristi Talley, Chad Talley, McKenzie Talley, Sarah (Chad) Musselman, Amanda (Justin) Voigt, Jacob Ozier, Nikki (Jason) Hetzel, Brooke Talley, Logan Talley, Keith Myers, Jodi (Justn) Harmala, Jaclyn (Brad) Getz, Ciara (Mike) Daume, Shea Talley, Danaille (Tony) Huffman, Christopher Ethridge, Brandon Ethridge, Olivia Fritcher, Andrew Talley, Alex Talley and Treyden Talley; 11 great-grandchildren, Rowan, Maddux, Tessa, Hadley, Harper, Dylan, Jude, Macy, Lynlie, Alli and Henley.
Hulin was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Helen Crane; brother, Herbert; and one great-grandson, Connor.
