CASEY —
Dorothy O. Luke, 106, of Casey, passed away at 9:20 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 3, 2012, at Casey Health Care Center.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Markwell Funeral Home with the Rev. Dan Smith officiating. Burial will follow in the Casey Cumberland Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. She was born Jan. 12, 1906, in Clark County, the daughter of John Freeman Gallatin and Fanny Miller Gallatin. She married Don Harry Luke on May 7,1932, in Martinsville. He passed away on Jan. 20, 1997. Mrs. Luke lived in Casey her entire life. She had worked as a clerk for various businesses. She was a member of the Greenup Methodist Church.
Survivors include her daughter, Patricia Ann Ferren and husband Robert of New Smyrna Beach, Fla.; grandsons, Robert Scott Ferren of Tallahassee, Fla., and Matthew Steven Ferren of Deland, Fla.; granddaughter, Cynthia Ann Runyon of Tamaroa; great-grandchildren, Parker Ferren, Tony Runyon and Jessica Runyon; and great-great-grandson, Isaiah Runyon.
She was preceded by her parents; husband; brothers, Harry Gallatin and John Gallatin; and sister, Marie Galey.
