NEWTON —
Ingrid Shaffer-Stuckey, 62, Newton, passed away Thursday, Oct. 25, 2012, at her home, surrounded by her family.
Visitation will be from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at Crain Funeral Home, Newton, with funeral service to follow. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family and will be accepted at the funeral home.
Ingrid was born Sept. 1, 1950, in Bayreuth, Germany, and came to the United States in 1971. She married Gary Stuckey in 1990 and he survives. Ingrid was very devoted to her family. She owned and operated the Newton Ceramic Shop for several years and later was a respiratory therapist. She was a member of the RSDS Angels and the Rose Hill Household Science Club.
She is survived by her husband; daughters, Candy of Robinson, Tonya (companion Harold Murray) of Newton; son, Lucas (Stephanie) of Effingham; grandchildren, Chelsea, Jordan, Blaine, Shaley, Tanner, Hunter and Allison; the extended Shaffer family and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Elfiede Popp; father, Willy Popp; brother, Udo Popp; sister, Ursula Popp; and dear father-in-law, Jack Shaffer.
