EFFINGHAM —
Albert N. Breeding, 90, of Effingham, passed away at 4 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 9, 2012, at his home.
Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday in Oak Ridge Cemetery, Effingham, with the Rev. Bob Ward officiating. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today, Oct. 11, at Johnson Funeral Home, Effingham. Memorials may be made to the donor’s choice. Online condolences may be expressed at www.johnsonandsonsfh.com.
Albert was born April 23, 1922, in East Prairie, Mo., the son of Walter and Ruby (Morgan) Breeding. He married Esther M. McGill on Nov. 17, 1945. She preceded him in death July 19, 2010. Albert was a veteran of the United States Army, serving during World War II. He was a recipient of the Purple Heart. He was a businessman. Albert was an avid hunter and fisherman.
Albert is survived by his son, Phil (Joyce) Breeding of Effingham; daughter, Betty (Bo) Leslie of Tampa, Fla.; brothers, George Breeding of Farmington, Mo., and Jim Breeding of Cuba, Mo.; sister, Bessie Daughrtte of Reyno, Ariz.; grandchildren, Bryan Breeding, Bo Leslie, Amy Carr and Erin Craker; and six great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, one brother and two sisters.
