EFFINGHAM —
Marian Louise Grunloh, 81, of Effingham passed away at 4 a.m. Friday, Nov. 16, 2012, at Aspen Creek of Effingham.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, Effingham, with burial in St. Anthony Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Bauer Funeral Home, Effingham, with a 6:30 p.m. parish wake service. Memorials may be given to St. Anthony schools or Catholic Charities. Marian was born in Island Grove on Jan. 3, 1931, the daughter of Clarence and Lena (Bierman) Steger. She married Clifford Grunloh on May 13, 1950, in Island Grove. She went to Newton High School. Marian worked with her husband in the businesses that they created together. They had a construction company, golf course, supper club and a drapery shop. She was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church. She was involved in Ladies Sodality, C.C.W., Friends of St. Anthony Hospital and enjoyed gardening, golfing, hunting and spending time with her family and friends.
Cliff and Marian have nine children, Ted (wife, Jean Anne) Grunloh of Effingham, Richard Grunloh of Effingham, Debby (husband, Joe) Rickelman of Worth, Bill (wife, Diana) Grunloh of Springfield, Sandy (husband, Steve) Brown of Champaign, Tom Grunloh of Effingham, Lynn (husband, Bruce) Lustig of Effingham, Ed (wife, Lori) Grunloh of Effingham and Amy (husband, Scott) Jolliff of Atlanta, Ga. They have 20 grandchildren, Jeremy Grunloh, Nicole (husband, David) Hauschild, Paul (wife, Lexi) Rickelman, Natalie Mask, Jackie (husband, Bryan) Dunne, Erin (husband, John) Dudley, Ashley (husband, Ross) Bierman, Eric Brown, Bailey Lustig, Dani Grunloh, Allie Grunloh, Lucas Brown, Anna (husband, Jeremy) Kyle, Andrew Grunloh, Alex Lustig, Patrick Grunloh, Lena Grunloh, Nick Grunloh, Adam Jolliff and Noah Jolliff; and six great-grandchildren, Lauren Mask, Ava Mask, Lucy Bierman, Rusch Rickleman, Harper Dunne and Elle Bierman.
