WATSON —
James “Jim” W. Levitt, 72, of Watson, entered eternal rest at his home on Friday, Feb. 8, 2013, at 5:53 a.m.
Funeral service will be 10:30 a.m. Monday at Pagel Funeral Home, Edgewood, with Lucas Shelley officiating. Burial will follow in Watson Cemetery, Watson. Visitation is from 3 to 6 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Memorials are requested to Salt Creek Church, Watson.
James was born on June 4, 1940, in Effingham County, the son of Coleman and Aline (Hampton) Levitt.
He was retired from the former Fedders Corp after 47 years of service. He was a member of Salt Creek Church and enjoyed motorcycle riding and spending time with Reta.
Surviving are his children, Lisa Levitt of Paxton and James L. (Sheila) Levitt of Cissna Park; life companion, Reta Zumbahlen of Watson; brothers, Larry (Cheryl) Levitt and Lloyd (Carolyn) Levitt, all of Effingham; sister, Norma Heuerman of Effingham; granddaughter, Katie Levitt; stepgrandchildren, Jason (Gail) Redeker and Jennifer Redeker; stepgreat-grandchildren, Gavin Speirs and Peyton Redeker, all of Cissna Park; and many nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death were his parents.
