EFFINGHAM —
Lee Price, 84, of Effingham, formerly of Salem, died Wednesday, Jan. 30, 2013, at St. Anthony’s Hospital, Effingham.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Sunday at Rankin Funeral Home, Salem, with Dr. Andy DeWitt officiating. Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery, Shebyville. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the donor’s choice and will be accepted at the funeral home.
Born Jan. 9, 1929, in Herrick, he was the son of Malcolm and Blanche (Cook) Price, who preceded him in death. Mr. Price was the former owner of Price Livestock and Sale Barn in Salem. He was a lifetime member of the Moose Club and was a member of First Baptist Church, Salem. He loved spending time with his favorite friend, Judy, the dog. He married Ramona E. Montooth, Nov. 16, 1967, in Salem. She survives in Effingham.
Also surviving are sons, David Price, wife, Shelia, of Washington, Eugene Barricklow, wife, Hope, of Florida; daughters, JoEllen Clark, of Lake St. Louis, Debbie Burt, husband, Larry, of Austin, Texas; brother, Gordon Price, wife, Vickie, of Shumway; sister-in-law, Marge Kearney, of Shelbyville; several grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and several cousins and close friends.
