BELLEVILLE —
Ruba “Rubo” Owen White Jr., 73, of Belleville, formerly of St. Peter, passed away Sunday, Jan. 27, 2013, at home.
A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Pagel Funeral Home, St. Peter. Visitation will be two hours prior to service time. Memorials are requested to the American Heart Association, Diabetes Association, American Lung Association or the donor’s choice.
Rubo was born Dec. 8, 1939, in Iola, the son of Ruba Owen White Sr. and Minnie (Freeman) Smith. He married Jane Gesell and she survives.
Surviving are his wife, Jane of Belleville; daughters, Cathy Stein and husband, Kerry, of Belleville, and Nancy Hinton and husband, Randy, of St. Peter; son, Brett White and wife, Julie, of St. Peter; sisters, June (White) Logan of Edgewood and Diana (White) Podezwa of Flora; sister-in-law, Irene (Gesell) Heffner of Alton; grandchildren, Carla (Stein) and husband, Keith Karban, Kristal (Stein) and husband, Steve Fournie, Kyle Stein, Clayton Hinton and wife, Katie, Jesse Hinton, Jorden (White) and husband, Adam Lauwers, Shelbi White, and Jay White; great-grandchildren, Nolan and Alaina Karban and Owen Lauwers.
Preceding him in death were his parents; father- and mother-in-law, Glen and Alma Gesell; sister, Crystal (White) Cook; great-grandson, Hudsen Lauwers; brothers-in-law, Lenny Podezwa, John Garrett, Joy Dean Logan and Monty Heffner; and sister-in-law, Betty (Gesell) Garrett.
