TEUTOPOLIS —
Rose W. Hawickhorst, 91, of Teutopolis, passed away at 6:50 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 30, 2012, at St. Anthony’s Memorial Hospital.
Services will be at 11 a.m., Friday at Bauer Funeral Home, Effingham, with burial in St. Francis Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until service time Friday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the donor’s choice. Condolences may be left at www.bauerfh.com.
Rose was born Jan. 21, 1921, the daughter of Rudolph and Theresa (Heuerman) Dust. She married Wilbert A. Hawickhorst on June 11, 1941, in Effingham and he preceded her in death in 1998. Rose was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Teutopolis and taught at the Teutopolis Grade School for many years.
Rose is survived by two sons, Phillip (Terry) Hawickhorst of Greenup and James Hawickhorst of Teutopolis; two granddaughters, Beth of Lisle and Becky of Buford, S.C.
Rose was preceded in death by her parents, husband and one daughter, Jean Brown.
