Teutopolis firefighter Tom Hemmen steps out of a house owned by Mary Anne and Jerry Zerrusen Tuesday on East Main Street in Teutopolis. Nobody was injured in the fire, which caused a good deal of smoke damage. Ron Zerrusen, the owners’ son, said the main thing was that nobody was injured. “The Teutopolis Fire Department did a whale of a job,” he said.
