Delaine Donaldson, chairman of the Effingham County Cultural Center and Museum Association, frees a World War II military coat from a dry-cleaning bag Monday at the old courthouse, which is being turned into a museum. The clothing belonged to Robert Katz of Effingham, who fought in the 1st Infantry Division, also known as the Big Red One. The museum will open on Nov. 11.
